A core class character, especially a rogue, can do any job better than a scout because the core classes have more customization opportunities. Viva la PHB! My original plan was to get Sharpshooter feat at Lvl 4, then the Mobile feat at Lvl 8. It just means you have one more favored enemy than you would have as a 14th-level ranger (and consequently, your highest favored enemy bonus is +2 higher than it otherwise would be).
