Web20 de ene. de 2014 · I'm gathering from all of this that it is not the fret "ends" at issue, but the fret height. It's those high edges that are sharp, sounds like it needs crowning and dressing. A 3 hour job for a good tech. I would suggest having a pro do it. I have the files and some little protector guides, but have never done it. WebYou can use a small file to round over the edges a bit. There are special made tools for the job, but a regular, fine toothed hand file will work, as well. No need to go to GC, just to take your time. You can take a sharpie/marker and put a mark on the end of each fret, then file until the mark disappears.
