In 1972 I had it restored by Doug Merrick at Winston in San Francisco. It still fishes very nicely with a 5 wt. Years later I acquired another Model 8, this one a 7 1/2 ft, 3/2 with a #1 1/2 ferrule. It's a nice, quick-actioned rod for a WF-5-F and fun to fish.
